Dissection of the perineum of a young female pig with special reference to the anatomy of the puborectalis muscle and to the external and internal anal sphincters.

We are very grateful to the SOCOPA factory of Evron (France) and specially to his Director, Mr Meyer, without which this study could not have been done.

We would like to thank also Abdul Sultan M.D. who organized on a regular basis workshops about the management of third degree perineal tears. The original idea of the pig model is coming from this workshop which is now being held in Mayday University Hospital (more informations, contact: Abdul Sultan MD).
